WORKSHOPS AND DEMONSTRATIONS FOR 2025/26
WORKSHOP: Tuesday 20th January 2026 10:30am -3:30pm. FRANK WALTERS - Watercolour. A follow up to the Demonstration he gave, see the Newsletter page for more information.
DEMONSTRATION: Wednesday 11th February 2026 11:00am to 1:00pm. STEPHEN CHEESEMAN - Oil Pastels. Check Stephen out, he is an exciting artist – he loves painting people in sport, combining human action and movement.
WORKSHOP: Monday 9th March 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm. STEPHEN CHEESEMAN - Oil Pastels, Sport Action.
DEMONSTRATION: Wednesday 25th March 2026 11:00am to 1:00pm. TUSHAR SABALE - Oils /Acrylic. I can’t wait each year to watch and listen to Tushar work his magic. A member of the prestigious “Wapping Group” and a great teacher.
WORKSHOP: Tuesday 2nd June 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm. TUSHAR SABALE - Oils Acrylic. You can use oils or acrylic to paint along with Tushar.
WORKSHOP: Monday 13th July 2026 9:30am to 12:30pm. ROZ KNIGHT - How to make best use of your sketch book. Roz is one of our talented members of Beechwood, who is an experienced teacher. I took one look at her wonderful sketch book and said she had to come along to Beechwood and show us how to do it. The workshop is £18 for members and £24 for non members.
PAINTING “EN PLEIN AIR” at Chenies Manor Tuesday 21st July 2026 2:00pm to 5:00pm. VISIT CHENIES MANOR. I can’t wait to visit Chenies Manor again – there are many, many opportunities to create paintings and sketches – some of us could practice what Roz taught us the week before, in our sketch books.
DEMONSTRATION: Wednesday 19th August 2026 11:00am to 1:00pm. RODNEY KINGSTON – OILS, STILL LIFE. Rodney’s inspiration comes from everyday life – people, places and still life objects and the challenge of translating 3- dimensional subjects into convincing 2- dimensional oil paintings.
WORKSHOP: Monday 14th September 2026 10:00am to 3:00pm. RODNEY KINGSTON – OILS, STILL LIFE.
DEMONSTRATION: Wednesday 14th October 2026 11:00am to 1:00pm. MITZIE GREEN - Watercolour, Acrylic and Ink. This looks like loads of fun. Experimenting with colour and texture.
WORKSHOP: Monday 16th November 2026 10:30am to 3:30pm. MITZIE GREEN - Acrylic, inks and watercolour- semiabstract.
Workshops must be booked in advance, the start time and days vary a bit, so look out for that. Fees are £28 for members and £40 for non-members (except for Roz Knights workshop which will be £18 for members and £24 for non members). To book a place, a cheque or cash must be sent to Dinah Kane, Camelot, Nightingales Lane, Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, HP8 4SJ. Alternatively place your cash or cheque in the pouch on the front desk at Wednesday group. Cheques are payable to “SAA Amersham” and post-dated one week before the workshop with the workshop name and date on the back. Payments are non-refundable if cancelled within 48hours of the workshop, without a genuine and valid reason.
Demonstrations Are on Wednesdays and nearly all start at 11:00am and finish around 1:00pm.
There is a £2.00 charge for members and a £15.00 charge for non- members, all payable on the day.
